Happy 25th Birthday Lindsey!

God at work again.... Todd headed into town today to pick up the traditional Dairy Queen Ice Cream Cake for Lindsey. There was only one left. It was trimmed in pink icing with pink and purple circles all over it. Coincidence? I don't think so.

Lindsey rested peacefully today while friends and family gathered around to listen to music from Brice and Jack Anderson. The music was beautiful. Emotions were heavy as we embraced those that we love and thought about our dearest Lindsey.

More cards and flowers arrived today. Thank you again for helping us make a visual display for our Lindsey.

Thank you for checking in... have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

  1. My husband came home to me crying over the last two posts. He has heard me talk about Lindsey pretty much since her second visit to my office, and he knows how much she means to me. He then looked at me and asked "in spite of everything, isn't your life much better for knowing her?" and I realized how true his statement is.

From Lindsey, I have learned that we can be sad and upset over the cards we have been dealt, but that doesn't mean give up. I have learned that a smile and positive attitude makes the world a much better place. I have learned so much about grace, compassion, and how much I love and depend on my family and friends. My life is so much more blessed because of knowing Lindsey. I am a better person, a better Mom, a better advisor.

I just want to say how thankful I am for the time I had with Lindsey. How blessed we all are for knowing her. And that I fully believe that Lindsey will be living on in a way that she can share her love with all children of this Earth.

    Blessings and love...

  2. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I know God is with you at this difficult time.
